After having listened to a series of teachings from a variety of preachers who all strongly believe that people should 'join a local church' (ie theirs)........come and be fed (ie by them) ....submit to the leadership (ie them)....and of course, pay your tithes to 'support the work of God' in that place (ie where they determine how the money will be spent)....I was asking God if I needed what they were offering.

Shortly thereafter I had a dream which was repeated 3 times though the night....prophetically this indicates that it is emphatic....about the dangers of building our lives on another persons foundation because any foundation other than a direct and personal one with God in Christ Jesus IS based on a requirement to drink 'tainted waters'

The dream revolved around me trying to rebuild houses among the ruins of an old village which appeared to be of possibly Roman origin.....its foundations were so ancient. Many of the foundations however were still intact....as was the water supply which came through ancient pipes from the hills. As I worked my way through rebuilding the city I was stopped with a two part question....."Why had this village come to an end?....why had it not continued and flourished?"

Twice more through the night I found myself in the dream, rebuilding....and coming to the same question. The final time the answer came to me in a flash. The water which fed the village came through ancient lead-lined canals......this lead was what crippled the 'reproductive capacity' of the men in the village....in time every civilisation there just died out because they were drinking 'tainted waters'.

We as christians need to tap directly into the source....Christ himself! He is the one who gives us 'living water'......and soon we will find that 'out of our innermost being will flow river of living water'

Brethren we all need to be fed by God himself (Heb 8:11) ....study the scriptures like noble Bereans.....spend time praying .....and listen to the Spirit of Truth within you before you receive what is 'served up' by anyone. Jesus made a statement that the church today fails to understand as they claim to 'feed the sheep'

John 4:34    "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work".  ...  We are not called to sit in pews and listen to endless teachings. We are called to LIVE to do his will..... to reach the lost in our worlds with HIS love....and our resources!
 

By drinking water that others serve up we will never grow up and reproduce.....we will always be stilted because of what they put in the water to 'control us'. Pastors and church leaders in the main want tame and compliant sheep to fleece year after year as they build up 'their' churches! ... ie those who will support their visions......and their lifestyle!

Matt 16:5-12
6 Then Jesus said to them, "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees." 

.......12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.    NKJV

This warning is as relevant today regarding what is preached by religious leaders....as it was when Jesus spoke it!
 

and whatever you do, DO NOT DRINK THE 'KOOL-AID'

This is far worse than a mere 'sedative' ....it IS toxic

Teaching which is laced with the Law and legalism will kill you. Through guilt and condemnation you will find yourself dying inside.          (1 Cor 11:30)

Rom 3:19-20

19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.     NKJV
 

Rom 8:2

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.    NKJV
 

1 Cor 15:56

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.     NKJV

2 Cor 3:5-9
.. our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.  NKJV
 

Live by the glorious revelation of HIS grace and the righteousness that IS yours in Christ (2 Cor 5:21) ....Legalism will bring 'death'  and bondage and condemnation.....rather than the life in abundance which Jesus came to give us.....along with freedom!

Gal 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
